Florida is home to the world’s most famous recreational parks – Walt Disney World Resort, Universal Orlando Resort and Sea World.  It is a haven for tourists who want to explore the different attractions these parks offer.  It is therefore not surprising that you will find thousands of Kissimmee Vacation Homes, condominiums and hotels available to house those wishing to spend a few days or weeks here in luxurious comfort.  Whatever your lodging preferences are, there is something here for you.  This is one aspect of your vacation that you will not find Florida wanting.  In fact, you will find new hotels and community resorts still being developed.

Most vacationers prefer to stay in Disney World Hotels for their Disney adventure.  There are benefits to be had in doing so.  You get to have that extra Magical hours inside the park and you will not have difficulty going to and from the park with several mode of transportation available for your use.  Your kids will have that magical experience of being tucked in bed by their favorite Disney characters.  You also have the option of including a dining plan on your Disney vacation package, which makes dining extremely convenient while you explore the park.  Aside from hotel restaurants, you will find hundreds of dining options around the park.  While it has its perks, the downside to staying within Disney premises is the high price tag as well as the inconvenience presented if you also plan to explore Universal and Sea World.

If you want a bit more living space than a hotel room, you can try staying in Disney Condos.  This is a perfect option for small families especially if you also like to save on dining expenses by using the kitchen and preparing home cook meals.  As these condos have a resort style atmosphere, recreational facilities are available if you do not feel like going to the park.  For bigger families or groups, you may want to avail of vacation homes, each with a fully furnished kitchen and pool.  You will have that home away from home feel as well as the luxury of having the place all to yourselves.  You will have more dining options, as most of these vacation homes are easily accessible to local restaurants if you want to eat out instead of dining in.

Staying in Orlando Hotels within the theme park makes it easier for you to enjoy the nightlife offered by the different parks.  For example, Universal Resort has great restaurants, bars and live shows that you can enjoy.  You can take a breather after exploring Islands of Adventure during the day then trek to Universal City Walk for some nighttime adventure.  This is certainly more convenient if you are staying within the immediate vicinity of the park.

While you can find great hotels in Orlando, you should not rule out Kissimmee Hotels.  Do not think that because you are in Kissimmee you would be far from where the action is.  Just remember that most of Disney is located in Kissimmee so you would only be a couple of minutes away.  You will find that these hotels have great amenities and that these are less expensive as well.  You will also get to enjoy local Kissimmee attractions that include wildlife conservation parks as well as unique dinner shows that you should not miss during your vacation.

The water parks at Disney World in Orlando are just the best places to be in during this hot summer season.  Prepare for wet and wild Disney World Vacations in Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon.  After a day or two exploring Magic Kingdom, Epcot and Hollywood Studios, devote some time for a grand water thrill adventure for kids of all ages.  If you are worried that you did not choose any of those Orlando hotels with amazing pools, it will not matter, as you will have your own dose of water fun with exhilarating water rides in these Disney World water parks. If you lack the time and cannot afford to explore both parks, one will do as they both offer great attractions.

First option is Disney’s Blizzard Beach water park. This water park has an interesting history. It was first built as a ski resort when Orlando experienced a freak snowstorm in the past.  Unfortunately, the snow melted and the builders have to change the theme immediately to save their investment.  Now instead of snow everywhere, it is water everywhere.  Since Florida is known as the Sunshine State, it is only fitting to have an enormous water park amongst the different theme parks.  Nothing beats to trying out the tallest and fastest waterslides in America.  Make sure you take this once in a lifetime experience before going back to your rented accommodation at Kissimmee Hotels or Disney Condos.

However, if you have little tots with you, better head to Tike’s Peak where they can play in a safe, age appropriate yet fun-filled water adventure with pop-up water jets, exciting small slides and magical snow-castle fountain. You can also bring the whole family to ride a raft at the Cross Country Creek.  Everybody will gain entrance, as it is just a mild ride.  It is also advisable to borrow life jackets for everyone at the Park entrance along with towels and lockers.  There is no need to bring your own anymore.  Make sure you do this before heading inside the water park.

The second water park is called Typhoon’s Lagoon.  Just like Blizzard Beach, this water park is not without a fascinating history.  However, this time, it was not a freak snowstorm that started it all.  It was after Orlando experienced the storm of all storms.  There was a shrimp boat that was swept up to the peak of Mount Mayday after a strong typhoon.  According to the legend, the boat whistle blows every thirty minutes that prompts the volcano to try to remove it from its peak.  By doing that, it releases huge splashes of water shooting upwards to the sky and that gave birth to several rivers, rapids, and waterslides.  To this very day, you can still see the shrimp boat lodged at the mountain’s peak.

If you are into surfing, you will enjoy the Surf Pool with 6-foot waves.  If you love snorkeling with real sharks, you will be able to do just that at Shark’s Reef. It may not boast of having the tallest waterslide but they have 9 different slides to make up for it.  They also have a play area for kids if you have little ones with you, Just one important tip before leaving the Kissimmee Hotels, make sure you bring only the essential items, as you will not be able to put all of your valuables in the rented lockers. Apply a generous amount of sunscreen and wear the appropriate clothing for this water adventure so you can make the most of your vacation.

Orlando Vacations would mean visiting several world-class theme parks in one go.  Having access on Disney World, Universal Orlando and Sea World in just a single vacation made Orlando one of the top tourist destinations around the world.  It is a haven for people who want to bring their kids to a safe and age-appropriate adventure.  With so many places to visit and things to do, it can truly be overwhelming to plan this vacation without proper research and resources.
